< how it came in >
one hinge fell off, glue dumped all over the back screen cover & the screen. worse of all: it couldn't open or close without worsening
< how it came in >
the screen is out place, hinges snapped in half on both sides & screen covers detached from the body. this was unusable. but not beyond repair
< under works >
cutting off the glued-on touch screen from back cover was the hardest part. hinges were adjusted ( not too tight & not too loose ). screw holders reinforced back in place by block. & a missing corner was reformed using a metal, plastic powder + q-bond.

only the base cover was replaced. the rest just needed reworking. screws reinforced back in place by block on both sides. both hinges were adusted ( not too tight, not too lose. and chipped off corners were reformed on the screen cover
< how it went out >
see it up here 👆. screen is intact & it can still flip 360º. every bit fits perfectly together, it's stronger than ever and no part of it is permanently closed
< how it went out >
see it up here 👆. clean & all in one piece, like it wasn't in pieces & now it will be usable for many more years without needing support.

because in our book, it wasn't worse. which means the damaged bits only needed reworking. it was easy and faster.

because in our book, it was worst. this means on top of damaged bits that needed reworking, some parts needed reforming and replacement. this wasn't easy and it took longer.
